Rakesh Roshan Detected With Throat Cancer
A few minutes back, Hrithik Roshan shared an unfortunate news about his dad Rakesh Roshan. The filmmaker has been diagnosed with the first stage of squamous cell carcinoma of the throat
After Irrfan Khan, Sonali Bendre, Ayushmann Khurrana’s wife Tahira Kashyap, it’s Hrithik Roshan’s dad and filmmaker Rakesh Roshan, who has been detected with the Deadly C. The renowned filmmaker is suffering with first stage of throat cancer and is already going in for a surgery today.
With a picture of both of them at a gym, Hrithik shared the sad news but bravely wrote, “Asked my dad for a picture this morning. Knew he wouldn't miss gym on surgery day. He is probably the strongest man I know. Got diagnosed with early stage squamous cell carcinoma of the throat a few weeks ago, but he is in full spirits today as he proceeds to battle it. As a family we are fortunate and blessed to have a leader like him. Love you Dad.”
Squamous cell carcinoma is a disease in which squamous cell cancer spreads to lymph nodes in the neck. Moreover, it is not known where the cancer first formed in the body.
You may recall, Hrithik’s sister Sunaina Roshan beat cervical cancer in 2014 and a few months back, she had opened up about her journey and struggle during the phase. Talking about how it was all detected, she had said, “I was clotting a lot in my periods. Mom asked me to consult a doctor. One test led to another. My Dad was informed first, but I sensed before that itself that something was seriously wrong. After sonography, I upfront asked the doctor that has he detected ted cancer? He nodded. Dad used to cry every night. My mom was my Rock Of Gibraltar. And then came the worst day of my life, when I had to shave off my head. I was devastated. Hrithik too felt terrible.” Here’s wishing Rakesh Roshan a speedy recovery and better health.
